Vince Kent

Vince Kent is the founder of cloudIT, LLC headquartered in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. There, he takes pride in creating a company culture that listens to customers’ needs and crafts well-architected, secure, and scalable solution that helps his customers achieve their goals. From a very young age, Vince has had a passion for all things electronic. Growing up in a predominately small, rural town in Kansas, Vince natively embraced values that are essential to leadership and have helped propel cloudIT. In a town where the restaurant owners are also firefighters, hard work comes as second nature. Teamwork is essential as many services aren’t provided in small towns, so everyone has to work together to get what they need done. You learned to develop lasting relationships, as you had to stay friends with your classmates, or you might not have any friends. These are just a few of the many small-town values that have served Vince well in his business ventures. Having left Kansas University and working in real estate, he moved to a small island off the coast of Belize. In 2000, after surviving a Level 4 Hurricane that left the small island devastated, in he chose to return to the Kansas City area for a 6-year stint in Telecom. In 2006, he accepted a Senior Sales Engineer job in Phoenix at Trans-West Network Solutions. After a promotion to Director of Sales he became an essential member of the Executive Team for 14 years. It was during his last two years at Trans-West that he created, launched and nurtured the IT Services Division. Vince took advantage of an opportunity in 2012 to purchase and spin off the IT group and cloudIT, LLC was incorporated in Arizona. Vince found he has a certain set of skills that serve him well and thus realized his passion for his employees, customers and building new businesses… and a slight addiction to kombucha which you will find on tap in the cloudIT office. In the 7 years since incorporating, he has intentionally grown cloudIT services – while staying true to his vision and core values. His vision has not changed with time, and it is no easy task. He strives to create exceptional customer (and employee) experience that creates a connection that can last a lifetime. Vince, a mentor and leader, has inspired a culture at cloudIT that strives to bring out the best in employees while promoting overall staff development. Always the entrepreneur and with a passion to create, Vince acquired several small IT service companies to accelerate the cloudIT service platform. In addition to fully managed IT Services, he has expanded locations to include cloudIT’s main office in downtown Phoenix, our own Data Center in Las Vegas, NV, and branch offices in California, Northern and Southern Arizona, Kansas, Texas, and Virginia. We have received numerous recognitions for our exceptional performance. This recognition is the direct result of our highly dedicated and skilled staff. Some of the most notable are: 2019 and 2020 cloudIT was ranked in Channel Futures MS 501 and the Inc.5000 lists. The MS 501 recognizes some of the biggest and most successful managed service providers (MSP’s) in the world. It rewards MSP’s who take risks, are agile enough to respond to business challenges and are focused on helping customers achieve success. When not at work, Vince heads a large family of young adults including a new grandson, and 5 small dogs, including a hairless Chinese Crested.
